 RESIDENTIAL BARN ART PAINTINGS

Barn art is an unusual type of work. During my years of professional painting, I have not found

a magic formula to what artwork cost to be painted on a barn or building. Square footage does not work,

nor does a per letter or graphic charge. Maybe a per dip of the brush is the way to go. Anyway, it helps me when I can see

your building, its condition, and its landscape from a picture. Please take one photo up close enough to see the

condition of your structure (or wall), and one picture back just far enough to see the entire end to be painted. Use our trusty "TYPES OF BARN SIDING"

page as a guide to your description. Always consider and note power lines, "add-on" sheds (these make scaffold set up a bit tricky at times)

and steep landscape inclines. To this point, I have been able to reach nearly every barn with my equipment. I will also be figuring in travel to the

desired location in my estimates. People ask me commonly how much a painting costs. Ballpark figures to this point are starting at

$400.00 up to $3500.00 if the building needs major work before the art is applied or the graphic is extremely detailed.

Most work falls in the $1500 - $2500 range.

COMMERCIAL BARN ADVERTISING PROJECTS

Just a note to a side-by-side comparison to billboards vs. barn paintings.

25 average market value billboards for a one month lease will cost approximately

$30,000. One year leasing of 25 billboards estimated cost is $300,000.

The paint used for "Barn Art" includes a multi year to lifetime warranty (Sherwin Williams or

equal quality paints) Barn Art should look excellent for 5-10 years, considering chosen structure condition.

Seven years of twenty-five billboards would cost $2,100,000. It is encouraged to research these costs and compare.
